Sekilas tentang pelabuhan Patimban

Pelabuhan Patimban adalah pelabuhan yang terletak di Desa Patimban, Kecamatan Pantai, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Pelabuhan ini saat ini sedang dalam tahap pembangunan oleh pemerintah Indonesia untuk menggantikan pelabuhan lama di Tanjung Priok, Jakarta yang sudah overload.

Pelabuhan Patimban diharapkan menjadi pelabuhan yang modern dan strategis di Indonesia, dengan kapasitas yang mampu menampung kapal-kapal besar dan dapat menjadi pusat distribusi barang dari Indonesia ke luar negeri maupun sebaliknya.

Pelabuhan ini akan dibangun dengan menggunakan teknologi terkini dan dilengkapi dengan fasilitas-fasilitas modern, seperti dermaga, gudang, terminal kargo, dan fasilitas pelengkap lainnya. Pelabuhan Patimban diharapkan dapat membuka peluang baru bagi pengembangan industri dan perdagangan di wilayah Jawa Barat dan sekitarnya.

Dalam jangka panjang, Pelabuhan Patimban diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu pelabuhan terbesar di Indonesia dan berkontribusi besar dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Namun, proyek ini juga menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti kendala keuangan, masalah pembebasan lahan, dan masalah lingkungan.

Indonesian Ministry of Transportation on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Jakarta signed a contract for the construction of Package 1 Patimban Port, Subang, West Java with a number of consortiums that won the tender in the project. The consortium that won the tender in the project is Penta Ocean, TOA, and Rinkai from Japan and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) and PT PP (Persero) from Indonesia. Package 1 includes the construction of container terminals and vehicle terminals and supervision from the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) with 6 trillion rupiah contract value of a total of 8.9 trillion rupiahs with a duration of 12 months. Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi in his press statement after the signing of the contract said that Package 1 is the biggest project of the entire package of Patimban Port development project. He believes that the first phase work of Package 1will be completed in less than 12 months so that the motor vehicle terminal and roll-on-roll off (ro-ro) can be operated in early 2019.



"We are signing a contract for this great job in Patimban. We expect early next month we will start construction and can be done in a few months and In sha Allah early next year we can operate Patimban activities by first operating the car terminal and roll-on-roll off (ro-ro). Patimban is very strategic because the pedestal rather than the industry exist in West Java and Central Java. So with the Patimban, Indonesia, Jakarta or West Java, Central Java has two ports, namely Tanjung Priok and Patimban, "said Budi Karya Sumadi.


Budi also hopes that with the construction of Patimban Port, there will be no more congestion of goods distribution to Jakarta, and create new easiness in logistics connectivity from home and abroad. In addition, the presence of Patimban Port is claimed would support the initiation to make Indonesia as the center of the automotive industry. The construction of Patimban Port will be implemented in three phases. In the first phase, Patimban Port is planned to be able to serve 3.5 Million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) and 600,000 four-wheeled vehicles. In the second phase, the service capacity will increase to 5.5 Million TEUs and increase to 7.5 Million TEUs in the third stage. The Patimban Port project is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
